I'd come across Son Seals on a few compilation albums, and really liked what I heard, so when I came across 4 of his albums, I snatched them up real quick.

I quickly discovered two things:

1. This guy is awesome - consistently!
2. The stuff I heard on the compilation albums were not a touch on the stuff he knocks out as general fare

If you like Chicago Blues, you have to give this guy a listen!

I saw him in England in the mid-80s, and he was awesome. IIRC he was the opening act on a BB King tour. Sadly he died in 2004.
